That is what Sebastian Bieniek a Berlin based artist is doing in "Faceation" in one of his first and large series of photographs.The first photography of the series was made in 2012 in Turkey and the last in 2019 in Berlin.
Here the appearance becomes the sum of all reflections.
As always, Bieniek is concerned with the question of identity, which must always withstand the ever-increasing pressure of more and more media projections.
In this series, which is not only a formal reflection in the sense of reflecting light, but also the reflection as a look back in time, the passed time and the big question: "what remains?" and the answer to that is the photograph itself. Art! Art is what remains! As the ancient Romans beautifully said, "ars longa, vita brevis."

In the small mirror on the right, we see the artist's then five-year-old son, and to the left, an old man. It is a moment, a metaphor, and an allegory of life.
